Synthesis and Characterization of Polysexithiophene derivatives for OTFTs |

In this paper, we report the synthesis and characterization of polysexithiophene derivative for their behavior as FET semiconductors. The new polymer was prepared by a Suzuki coupling reaction. The new polymer was characterized by IR, 1H-NMR, elemental analysis, and GPC. Their thermal properties were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). And their Spectroscopic and Electrochemical properties investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), UV-vis and Photoluminescence (PL). It showed high thermal stability with 5% weight loss at 290 °C and fabricated into the device by solution process. FET devices showed a charge carrier mobility of 0.022 cm2/Vs and on/off ratio of 105 and some morphology will be discussed. |
