Simple structural white organic light emitting diodes with two organic layers of N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-bis-[4-(phenyl-m-tolylamino)-phenyl]-biphenyl-4,4'-diamine (DNTPD) and ET-137 (proprietary electron transport material from SFC Co.) were fabricated and evaluated. The thickness of 300/500Å, 500/300Å, and 500/500Å in the DNTPD/ET-137 layers were deposited in the device fabrication to investigate the composition effect of structural layers. The device with structure of 500Å-thick DNTPD/ 500Å-thick ET-137 showed the luminance of 3450 cd/m2 at an applied voltage 7V with the maximum current efficiency of 1.7cd/A. It also showed the double peak emission of 455nm and 561nm in the electroluminescent spectral distribution with the color coordiantes of (0.32,0.37) on the Commission Internationale de l'Eclairage (CIE) chart. |
