제목 The study on dielectric and mechanical properties of the polyethylene-co-ethyl acrylate(EEA)/Low-density polyethylene(LDPE) composites reinforced with multi walled carbon nanotube(MWCNT) and fumed silica
초록 The dielectric and mechanical properties of EEA/LDPE composites filled with MWCNT and fumed silica were examined for ultra-high voltage cable application. For semi-conductive properties, MWCNT was used for conductive filler. However, compatibility between MWCNT and polymer resin were extremely decreased because of interface adhesion between MWNCT and polymer matrix. Dispersion properties of MWCNT in EEA/LDPE matrix were considerably increased due to the surface treatment of MWCNT with surfactant. The fumed silica was used as secondary additive for improvement of dielectric and surface and mechanical properties and of composites. The dielectric properties of EEA/LDPE composites filled with MWCNT and fumed silica were measured using dielectric analyzer(DEA) and surface roughness of composites were observed by laser scanning microscope(LSM). The tensile properties and elongation of composites were measured by universal test machine(UTM) according to the ASTM D-638.
