제목 Formation of superhydrophobic surface with HMDSO coating on polymers by plasma polymerization
초록 Superhydrophobic coatings on polymers as ABS and PET fiber are attained with an in-line atmospheric rf plasma process using Ar, O2 and HMDSO. The coating layers are composed of silicon compounds with hydrophobicity property. That is, the change of morphology and chemical of the substrates surface is mainly caused by the coating effect of charged particle in O2 surface treatment and depends on the plasma condition in coated process using HMDSO. But the activated surface functional group was decreased when the oxygen was not used for reaction gas. The surface morphologies of plasma-polymerized fiber were characterized by observed electron microscopy (SEM). The chemical compositions of the layers were analyzed fourier transforms infrared spectrometry (FT-IR).
