제목 Correlation between Surface Energy-Level and Surface Charge of Silver Nanoparticles for Facilitated Olefin Transport
초록 Partially positively charged surface of silver nanoparticles has been considered to have interactions with olefin and can be active as an olefin carrier for facilitated transport. Herein, a correlation between the surface energy-level of silver nanoparticles and the olefin carrier activity is investigated. The surface energy-level shift of silver nanoparticles was possible due to the positive charge formation on their surface induced by tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ), resulting in a high olefin carrier activity for facilitated transport and consequently a high selectivity for separation of propylene/propane mixtures. Silver nanoparticles were characterized by dynamic light scattering (DLS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and surface plasmon resonance peak of UV-Vis spectroscopy. In addition, the surface charge of the Ag NPs was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and the surface energy-level was verified by Kelvin probe.
