제목 | Sustained release of nifedipine from multi-coated bead containing porous membrane and various excipients |
초록 | Such oral delivery systems are based on osmosis, the diffusion of water transversely a semi-permeable membrane from a medium with a low osmotic pressure to a medium with a high osmotic pressure. For the improvement of release pattern and water-insolubility of nifedipine (ND), we prepared osmotic multi-coated beads by fluidized-bed spray coating method. The present study is intended as an investigation of the effect of different preparation factors, such as bead sizes, membrane thickness and excipients for optimal release performance. Based on the results of in vitro release test, ND beads release rate were associated with membrane thickness, bead sizes, such as the smaller beads has been fast release rate than the bigger, and the amount of excipients, such as disintegrant and binder. It has been significantly improved in the release rate, and the purpose of delivering water-insoluble ND at an approximate zero-order release profile for 24 hours, osmotic beads has been successfully prepared.
