제목 Preparation and characterization of acrylic pressure sensitive adhesives for BLU applications
초록 Due to increased environmental concerns mainly water based adhesives are used in today's production of self adhesive materials. More recently, additional demands have been placed on adhesives production. They include reductions in VOC, wastewater and reduction of energy. Due to this reason a lot of interest is already placed in the development of new radiation curable PSA. Acrylic PSAs have several advantages including excellent aging characteristics, resistance to elevated temperatures and plasticizers, exceptional optical clarity due to polymer compatibility and non-yellowing, the highest balance of adhesion and cohesion, and excellent water resistance. A series of acrylate-based copolymers were synthesized using several kinds of acrylic monomers by free radical copolymerization procedure. The properties of copolymers were investigated depending on the molecular weight, composition, and functionality. The feasibility of resulting copolymers was investigated as a coating resin for prism sheet in LCD back light unit.
