제목 | Organic fouling characteristics of large-scale plate-and-frame forward osmosis-reverse osmosis hybrid process in real wastewater reuse |
초록 | Membrane fouling is inevitable limitation in reverse osmosis (RO) process because it induces the performance decrease of RO membrane process. To minimize the membrane fouling, a pretreatment of RO is fundamental to maintain performance through rejection of foulants. The forward osmosis (FO) is an attractive process as pretreatment of RO because of its high rejection, fouling resistance and low operation cost. Especially, the plate and frame forward osmosis (PFFO) is known as having higher fouling resistance than other module types because of high cross flow velocity. In a PFFO part of hybrid process, feed flow rate was 30 LPM and draw flow rate was 20 LPM. Feed solution (FS) tank was filled with wastewater which was supplied from wastewater treatment plant of SKKU at real-time. In a RO part of hybrid process, diluted DS from PFFO process was used as FS of RO process. Feed flow rate was 3 LPM and operation pressure was 50 bar. |
