제목 개환 고분자화 반응을 위한 고리형 폴리카보네이트 올리고머 합성
초록 Polycarbonate (PC) polymers, used in various industrial sites, are in increasing demand every year. Ring opening polymerization (ROP) is one of the useful techniques for synthesizing the PC polymers and has the advantage of fast polymerization without any byproducts. When ROP is applied to synthesize PC polymers, the low viscosity and melting point of the PC cyclic oligomers allow the application of various fabrication techniques that cannot be applied in conventional methods. Until recently, it was not applied in industrial production due to the difficulty of synthesizing pure cyclic oligomers.
In this study, we report the synthesis of a mixture of PC cyclic oligomers from bisphenol A -bischloroformate. Unlike the classical high dilution conditions, pseudo-high diluted and biphasic conditions were applied to selectively synthesize the mixture of PC cyclic oligomers. The mixture was obtained over 85% of yield and confirmed as the cyclic forms by NMR, FT-IR, and MALDI-TOF MS analyses.
