Preparation of alkyl phosphate, carbonate, and sulfonate salts as biodegradable surfactants from epichlorohydrin |
| 초록 |
Phosphate, carbonate, sulfonate anions were treated with epichlorohydrin to provide mono- and/or di-substituted chloroalkyl esters. These chloroalkyl esters were reacted at elevated temperature with tertiary amines to afford quarternary ammonium salts, which can serve as biodegradable surfactants. The ratio of monosubstitution and disubstitution were dependent on the relative amount of epichlorohydrin to the anions. |
