제목 Tailored amino acid based stimuli-responsive polymers via atom transfer radical polymerization in aqueous media
초록 Stimuli-responsive polymers have been studied for various biomedical applications such as drug delivery system, cell encapsulation, blood-compatible polymers. In addition, it has been considerably attracted to synthesize polymers via atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) in aqueous media due to well-defined resulting polymers as well as environmentally friendly point of view. In this work, amino acid based polymers, poly(N-acryloyl phenylalanine) which was synthesized from the reaction of phenylalanine and acryloyl chloride, were homopolymerized and copolymerized with N-isopropyl acrylamide(NIPAAM) and characterized successfully via ATRP under near physiological condition using various water soluble initiators
