제목 Redox-responsive delivery of nanophotosensitizer based on chlorin-conjugated methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-g-chitosan through disulfide linkage
초록    In this study, we synthesized methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-g-chitosan (ChitoPEG) and Ce6 was conjugated with ChitoPEG copolymer using disulfide linkage (Abbreviated as ChitoPEGssCe6). Since disulfide bond can be reduced by glutathione (GSH) and intracellular GSH level is significantly higher in cancer cells and extracellular fluids, disulfide bond linkage induces cancer-specific delivery of photosensitizer. ChitoPEGssCe6 nanophotosensitizer shows small particle size less than 100nm and spherical shapes. In fluorescence excitation study, ChitoPEGssCe6 nanophotosensitizer showed ground state in the aqueous solution but GSH addition induced Ce6 liberation from nanophotosensitizer and activated. These results indicated that ChitoPEGssCe6 nanophotosensitizer has redox-responsiveness.
