In recent years, there has been and increasing interest in stretchable electronics. It has great potential in future electronics such as flexible displays and wearable electronics. With recent progress in stretchable electronics, electronic- devices on stretchable substrates can be protected from mechanical deformation by allowing the stretchable electrodes to undergo most of the mechanical stress. Indium tin oxide (ITO), which is commonly used material as transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs), is not suitable as transparent electrodes for flexible and stretchable devices because it is brittle and cracks easily under mechanical stress. In this work, we report a highly conductive and stretchable TCEs and OLED by using PEDOT:PSS layer and polyurethane substrate, leading to high transparency (optical transmittance > 85 % at a wavelength of 550 nm), high conductivity (sheet resistance ~ 100 ohm/sqr.) and high stretchability (mechanical strain ~ 30 %). |
