제목 Conductive Filler-Filed Polymer Electrode Suited to Dielectric Elastomer Actutors
초록 Electroactive polymers (EAPs) can behave as actuators, changing their shape in response to electrical stimulation. A key feature of dielectric elastomer technology is the use of compliant electrodes. If the electrode cannot stretch in at least one planar direction of the film while its thickness contracts, actuation is dramatically reduced because the polymer is essentially incompressible. The selection of electrode material remains an ongoing area of research. In this study, three components such as carbon black, carbon fiber, and silver particle were added to the waterborne polyurethane (WPU) to obtain composites with the better conductivity and flexibility. Surface resistance of conductive filler/WPU nanocomposites was estimated by 4-point probe. And the filler distribution in the WPU matrix was studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Mechanical properties of conductive filler/WPU nanocomposites were also investigated.
