제목 Co-electrospun nanofiber containing two different growth factors for wound healing
초록 Coaxial electrospinning received much attention because water-soluble protein in aqueous phase can be electrospun with polymers in organic phase. In this study, we prepared a coaxial nanofiber (NF) simultaneously containing encapsulated bFGF and chemically-immobilized EGF. For coaxial electrospinning, the outer solution composed of a mixture of PCL-PEG and PCL in a chloroform/MEOH mixture and the inner solution composed of bFGF in 1% PVA solution were electrospun to NF (flow rate=0.1/1.0 (ml/h, in/out)). For surface modification, EGF was reacted with surface-exposed amine groups of the NF. Wound healing efficacy of the NF was tested in female C57BL/6 mice with diabetic ulcers at dorsal area. Coaxial electrospinning successfully generated NFs with a core-shell structure. Because bFGF was encapsulated completely inside the NF, the NF with the conjugated EGF showed a significant peak of N1s however bFGF NF not shown. A coaxial NF can be a superior candidate for wound healing.
