제목 Dispersion Polymerization of Styrene Using Bifunctional Vinylurethane Macromonomers with Structural Difference and Various Molecular Weights
초록 Bifunctional cross-type vinyl urethane macromonomers (C-VUM) and linear-type vinyl urethane macromonomers (L-VUM) were successfully synthesized to study effect of the macromonomer as stabilizer in dispersion polymerization of the styrene via ethanol medium. The average size of the C-PS microspheres decreased from 4.4 to 1.36 ㎛and molecular weight increased from 34,129 to 100,487 g/mol with PEG molecular weight. The C-PS molecular weights were characterized higher than L-PS. The XPS result shows that the C-PS were anchored large amount PEG than the L- PS on the particle surface. The Tg of the grafted polystyrene was negligible change around 101 oC, the degradation onset point of the C-PS were higher than L-PS.
