제목 Enhanced properties of Polyketone(PK)/Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) blends
초록 The polymer blends constantly have been discussed in the point of having better properties than each component. In this study, we melt-mixed various PK/PVA blends, expected to hydrogen bonds between the hydroxyl groups of the PVA chains and the carbonyl group of the PK chains. The hydrogen bonds and compatibility between PK and PVA were verified with FT-IR, FE-SEM and DMA measurements. Also, the mechanical and thermal properties of PK/PVA blends were checked by universal testing machine (UTM), impactometer, TGA and DSC. From these properties, we confirm that the hydrogen bonds between PK and PVA induce good compatibility, thereby leading to improved mechanical and thermal performances of PK/PVA blends.
