Mechanical properties and morphology of Polyketone (PK)/maleated ethylene-octene rubber (mEOR) blends with compatibilizer |
초록 |
A compatibilizer was introduced to enhance the compatibility between PK base polymer and mEOR in order to improve its mechanical properties. The addition of mEOR rubber into PK matrix is inadequate to increase the mechanical properties specially impact strength. The morphology of the blends showed that the rubber particles aggregated irregularly and some of those detached from the PK matrix. As the additive contents increased in PK matrix, the phase morphology showed that the rubber particles decrease in PK matrix and the mechanical properties increase in contrast to PK/mEOR blends. The spectrum of the chemical structure in the blends revealed that the change occur due to the addition of the compatibilizer into the blends. |
