It is well known that the block copolymer can from various self-assembled morphologies such as lamellar, hexagonally packed cylinders, and body-centered cubic structures. It has been reported that these morphologies could be changed by varying the volume fraction of each phase and temperature of samples. The addition of selective solvents into one of domains is also known to be an effective method in manipulating the morphologies. In present study, we were motivated to manipulate the morphology of block copolymer by tethering end functional groups. In particular, the addition of salts in the end functionalized block copolymers confirm the possibility of further alteration of self-assembled morphologies. The origin of dissimilar morphologies was explored by combining small angle X-ray scattering and transmission electron microscopy. |
