제목 Enhancement in power conversion efficiency of solar cells with surface-treated ZnO photoelectrodes
초록 In our previous report, we showed that incorporation of silver ions on TiO2 surface induced an increase in power conversion efficiency (PCE) of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). In this presentation, we further extended our silver-ion incorporation method to the ZnO nanorod surface to get higher conversion efficiency of ZnO-based DSSCs. As a result, we could obtain a higher PCE of 1.19% in DSSC with silver-ion incorporated ZnO layer, compared to that (0.61%) of reference device with bare ZnO nanorods. This enhancement was attributed to an increased amount of adsorbed dye on the surface of ZnO nanorods and a retarded back electron transfer between photoinjected electrons and I3- in the electrolyte.
