제목 | Effect of added PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) during the pitch synthesis reaction of PFO (Pyrolysis Fuel Oil) |
초록 | China is the biggest importing country for waste plastic, and the importation capacity was 30 % of the world’s plastic waste generation. However, China banned the importing of plastic waste after 2016, and the seriousness of environmental pollution is also deepening. In this study, PET which is one of the commodity plastic was used as an additive for the pitch synthesis. PFO which is a byproduct of naphtha cracking center was used as a precursor for pitch synthesis, and the PET was added from 0.5 to 10 wt%. Thermal properties of the prepared pitch were characterized by softening point (SP) and thermogravimetric analysis, and the phase structure was observed by polarization optical microscope. Added PET was degraded to chemicals which has oxygen functional groups like terephthalate acid during reaction temperature. These degraded chemicals were played a role of a crosslink site, so the SP and carbon value of the prepared pitches were improved following the increase of the PET addition. |
