Global warming and climate change concerns are primary problems of too much greenhouse gases, for which carbon dioxide (CO2) is the main component, in the atmosphere. One crucial challenge of efficient capturing and storing CO2 is the exploration of a practical gas-adsorbent material. Polymer for CO2 capture represents that PEI (Polyethyleneimine) is a polymer with repeating unit composed of the amine group. Organic-inorganic hybrid material called BPS (bridged polysilsesquioxane) is used for surface modifiers, coatings to catalysts, and membrane which is high resistance to chemical, thermal, and structure stability. In this study, organic-inorganic hybrid membrane was synthesized by sol-gel reaction using hydrochloric acid as a catalyst. The membrane consisting of BPS-SS was changed to BPS-SH by DDT as a reducing agent. BPS-SH was easily coupled with Au, which was dip-coated with PEI. Hybrid membrane with PEI was characterized by H-NMR, FT-IR, FE-SEM, and TGA. |
