제목 Active Layer Coatings of Water Filtration Membrane Prepared by Polymer Blends
초록 Microphase separation of polymer mixture is unique phenomenon of polymeric materials. We have utilized this microphase separation of polymer thin film that consisted of block copolymer and homopolymer for creating of nanoporous structure in the previous study. Now we used graft copolymer and homopolymer blend for porous coating of membrane. Supporting membrane through surface modification create to more suitable for the water treatment than existing membrane. Amphiphilic block copolymer and graft copolymer may have the ability to create various nano-morphological structures. In this study, Poly(ethylene-co-acrylic acid)-g-poly(ethylene oxide) and poly(acylic acid) were used to create thin active layer for membrane application. PEO is known for anti-fouling materials and increasing hydrophilicity. We prepared various coatings with these polymers as the active layer coating and studied the surface properties of them in terms of filtration technology.
