Recently, HMQ-T has been reported to be a highly efficient ionic electro-optic quinolinium single crystal for THz wave applications. In the previous research, HMQ-T crystals were grown by slow-cooling method in methanol starting at 40 °C and a cooling rate of 1 °C per day. The crystals grew up to thickness of 0.32mm. In this research, attempts for growing HMQ-T crystals in different solvents have been made to produce bulk crystals. HMQ-T crystals were grown in solvent mixtures with diverse ratio of methanol and acetonitrile. |
