제목 Polyurethane nanocomposites incorporating functionalized graphene oxide and epoxy for photo-actuator application
초록 The purpose of this study is to develop high-performance polyurethane (PU) based actuators by using epoxy component diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and epoxy-functionalized graphene oxide (DGEBA-f-GO). The functionalized material was prepared by treating graphene oxide (GO) with DGEBA via reaction between the epoxide groups of DGEBA and the carboxy groups on GO. The epoxy functionalized GO was used for the effective interfacial interaction between epoxy and epoxy terminated functionalized GO. Synthesized composites with different DGEBA-f-GO wt% composition were further investigated to evaluate thermo- and photo-responsive shape recovery behavior along with exploring their thermal and mechanical properties. We demonstrated that the PU/DGEBA-f-GO/epoxy composites exhibit strong interfacial interactions, excellent shape memory, thermal and mechanical properties of the composites.
