Liquid-liquid equilibria were measured for water + 2, 3-butanediol + solvent (1-pentanol and 4-methyl-2-pentanol) at several temperatures. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by evaluating the solubility and tie-line results for each ternary mixture. The consistency of the tie-line results was ascertained using an Othmer-Tobias plot. The distribution coefficient and separation factors have been evaluated for the immiscibility region. Also, NRTL and UNIQUAC models were used to correlate the liquid−liquid equilibria experimental data |
