제목 Physico-chemical and mechanical properties of PCL/TiO2 nanofibrous scaffold
초록 The polymeric nanofibrous scaffolds have high specific areas and porosity. However, they sometimes lack mechanical properties. It is introduced effective method providing excellent materials for polymer blending. The poly ε-caprolactone(PCL) nanofibers including titanium dioxide(TiO2) nanopowder were fabricated by using an electrospinning technology. The pure PCL scaffold relatively showed a soft characteristic with the low tensile strength. The size of PCL and PCL/TiO2 composite fibers, as estimated from scanning electron microscope(SEM) images. The presence of TiO2 nanopowder in PCL was investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS). A viscosity and the tensile strength of PCL/TiO2 solution increased with adding TiO2 concentration. Such an enhanced strength and surface roughness of PCL/TiO2 nanofibers mean resistance to the outside that could avoid surface damage. As a result, it would be beneficial for applications.
