Although high-load of fillers in composites is expected to enhances the physical properties of composites remarkably, composites with high-filler-load, have been limited technically due to difficulties in compounding and manufacturing processes as well as poor mechanical properties. In this work, we demonstrate a simple process to prepare composites with a high filler load (>95%) using graphite fillers decorated with PS nanoparticles. Owing to superior interfacial adhesive property of melted PS nanoparticles at high temperature, the composites showed impressive mechanical and electrical properties as compared to those obtained using conventional mechanical mixing and compounding process. |
