제목 Ultra-accelerating tests for Polymer/Wood flour Composites
초록 In this study, High accelerated weathering tests using a metal-halide lamp were performed to investigate the effects on the surface of polymer/wood flour composite. Injection-molded sheets were exposed at an irradiance of 600W/m2. The photo-degradation behaviors of UV irradiation on the changes in color and chemical modification of the surfaces of polymer/wood composites, pristine and chemically modified with different types and amount of UV stabilizer, absorber were analyzed. Analysis of the color changes and yellowing index in polymer/wood surfaces during photo-degradation was carried out by spectrophotometer. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) was used to characterize the morphology of the composite surface. Attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy was useful in showing the photo-degradation behaviors of the weathering with increasing exposure dose cumulatively.
