제목 Nonlinear Optical Polymers Possessing Thermal Stability and High Electro-Optic Activity
초록 We prepared nonlinear optical (NLO) polymers possessing thermal stability and high electro-optic activity. Soluble polyimides with hydroxyl group have been prepared by condensation of 2,2-bis(3-amino-4-hydroxyphenol)hexafluoropropane and oxydiphthalic dianhydride. The NLO chromophores with a terminal hydroxyl group have been synthesized by coupling between aminobenzene donor and alkoxy-substituted phenylenevinylene bridge, and then subsequent coupling between the resulting product and tricyanofuran acceptor. The chromophores were chemically bonded to the polyimides backbone through Mitsunobu reaction. The NLO polymers showed 160-170 oC of Tgs and were thermally stable up to 200 oC, which were evidenced by DSC and TGA measurement. We obtained optical quality films by spincoating and evaluated their electro-optical properties by a simple reflection method at 1550 nm.
