제목 Electrochemical Construction of Gold-Polypyrrole-Gold Rods for Sensing of Biomolecules
초록 The gold-conducting polymer-gold nano rods were fabricated by simple electrochemical deposition process. Multisegmented rods can be easily synthesized by changing the plating solution and accordingly varying the potential of the deposition. Gold-Ppy(COOH)-Gold nanorods were electrochemically deposited in porous alumina template controlling their aspect ratio with the electrical current. The surface of the polymer in the rod can be chemically modified with biomolecules such as dye-labeled proteins and DNA. In this work, we have attached gold block to both ends of polypyrrole rod so that it is possible to dectect biomolecules absorbed on conducting polymer rod surface by measuring conductivity of the rods. We would show how one can use Gold-Ppy(COOH)-Gold nanorods for sensing biomolecules. The synthesized polymer nanorods have been characterized by AFM, SEM and optical microscope.
