Increased Solid State Fluorescence Emission of Quinoline derivatives |

Fluorescent materials have attracted considerable interest due to their potential application in chemistry and biology. But, their quenching process has been always mentioned as a most important factor to overcome for further biosensor application. Consequently, Excited-state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT) was introduced to solve this problem. The ESIPT process has abnormally large Stokes’ shift with aggregation-enhanced emission phenomena without self-absorption. We investigate the enhanced photoluminescence of a containing ESIPT quinoline derivative for possible use in the field of immunofluorescence labeling. |
