제목 A study of Impregnation and Release of Drug in Hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA)
초록 In an ideal drug delivery/release system, the drug profile in the desired tissue will be maintained at optimum therapeutic concentrations with minimum fluctuation, predictable and reproducible release rates for extended durations. But, many drug’s potencies and therapeutic effects are limited or otherwise reduced because of partial degradation that occurs before they reach a desired target in the body. We focused on the drug delivery using polymer membrane. Drug of using dry eye was over 90% eliminated by tears when you put drug in your eye. Drug delivery was controlled by placing the drug in hydroxyethyl methacrylate(H.E.M.A.) used as a lens. Release properties were analyzed using UV-Vis spectroscopy and HPLC. It is possible to prevent the indiscriminate drug administration for effective drug delivery and release, can be used as materials of medical instrument which can substitute a method for administering a drug each existing specific time intervals.
