제목 Crystallization Behavior of Copolymers Derived from p-dioxanone, L-lactide and Poly ethylene glycol
초록 We investigated the crystallization behavior of copolymers derived from p-dioxanone, L- lactide and poly(thene glycol) via wide angle X-ray scattering (WAXS), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and optical microscopy. The synthesis of poly (p-dioxanone)-block-polyethylene glycol (PEG) copolymer (PPDO-b-PEG), poly (L-lactide)-block poly (ethylene glycol) copolymer (PLLA-b-PEG) and poly (p-dioxanone)-co-poly(L-lactide)-block-poly(ethylene glycol) (PDO/LLA-b-PEG) were done by ring- opening polymerization of corresponding lactone monomers in the presence of PEG as macroinitiator and stannous octoate catalyst. DSC and WAXS of block copolymers suggested that the PDO, LLA and PEG blocks were phase separated and the crystallization behavior of one block was markedly affected by the presence of the other block. Furthermore, the crystallization behavior of the copolymers was compared with the corresponding homopolymers. The optical microscopy showed a variety of spherulitic morphology in different copolymers along with corresponding homopolymers.
