제목 Structural and PTCR Characteristics of (1-x)BaTiO3-x(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 PTCR Ceramics Synthesized with Muffled Sintering
초록 (1-x)BaTiO3-x(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 (BaBiNT-x) ceramics with 0<x<10 were synthesized by a modified annealing process. The BaBiNT-x ceramics showed better positive temperature coefficient of resistivity (PTCR) characteristics compared with those synthesized by a conventional annealing process. Since (Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3 has a relatively high Curie temperature (Tc) of 420oC, their Tc was gradually increased with increasing x. However, a volatile element of Bi or Na during sintering at high temperature (1300oC) leaded them to PTCR ceramics with a relatively low Tc less than 170oC. Therefore, the BaBiNT-x ceramics was sintered by a muffling condition. The effect of Bi and/or Na muffling effect on the PTCR characteristics of BaBiNT-x ceramics will be presented in this presentation.
