A Biomimetic Fluorescent Probe Based On Fluorescein for Bioimaging Applications |

Bioimaging technology that uses fluorescence probe has recently received much interest for the detection, visualization and characterization of the biological processes at the molecular level. We report here three fluorescent probe (UU-F, SS-F, and US-F) based on the combination of fluorescein with lipophilic groups that consist of saturated (S) and unsaturated (U) C-18 fatty acid. Live cell experiments performed on canine adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells demonstrated that all three compounds well localized in cellular membrane, confirmed by CLSM. In particular, US-F showed good uptake, confirmed by FACS. |
