Sample preparation system for pathogen detection for biological contamination of surface using graphene oxide-coated bead |
초록 |
Analysis of biological contamination in surfaces is important to public health. As the current method uses cotton swabs for sampling, it is difficult to cover a large area, and it has low sensitivity. To overcome this issue, surface sampling was conducted with a half A4 sized wipe. Pathogens on the surface were collected on the wipe and transferred into the solution by a gentle vortexing. Pathogens in the solution were concentrated on the graphene oxide coated micro-sized beads. The nucleic acid of the pathogen was extracted by using the bead beating method and it was quantified by polymerase chain reaction. As a result, it can detect 102 cfu(pfu)/m2 of pathogens within 1.5 hours. |
