High-pressure phase behavior of the 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate with supercritical carbon dioxide has been studied. Pressue-composition isotherms are obtained for binary mixtures of carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate system at (40,60,80,100,120)℃and pressure to 259bar and for carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate systems at (40,60,80,100,120)℃and pressure up to 233bar. The solubility of 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate for the carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate systems increases as the temperatures increase at constant pressure. The carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate system exhibits type-Ⅰphase behavior with a continuous mixture-critical curve. The experimental results for the carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate and carbon dioxide + 2-hydroxypropyl methacrylate systems are modeled using and Peng-Robinson equation of state. |
