The effects of the addition of antimony in V-Sb/Ti on the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) of NOX performance were studied. The study focused on assessing the V4+ fraction, Sb5+ faction, re-oxidation capacity and SO2 resistance of the catalyst against antimony addition. We investigated the correlation between valance state of vanadium and SCR performonce. The addition of antimony produces non-stoichiometric vanadium species, such as V4+, resulting from the formation of SbOX bridges between antimony species and lattice oxygen. The increase in V4+ fraction enhances the re-oxidation capability of the catalysts, and promotes catalytic activity. Furthermore, V-Sb/Ti exhibits SO2 durability enhanced by reducing the adsorption of SO2 to the catalyst surface due to the addition of antimony. |
