Methane Storage Behaviors of Microporous Carbons Derived from Poly(vinylidene fluoride) |

In this study, we have synthesized polymer-based microporous carbons (PMCs) using a pyrolysis of (poly(vinylidene fluoride), PVDF) for methane storage. PMCs were prepared by carbonizing of PVDF using an activation free method. The surface properties were investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). The morphological properties were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The textural properties were investigated by N2/77 K adsorption isotherms using Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation. The methane storage capacity was investigated by a volumetric measurement at 298 K/35 bar. |
