The effect of electrode coating on the chlorine generation |
초록 |
Several types of metals such as ruthenium and iridium have been preferred to generate chlorine and to prevent water split. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the electrode coating on the chlorine generation. Four different types of IrO2 electrodes and a worn electrode were used in this study. These electrodes were investigated in chlorine generation and energy efficiency. These electrodes generated different amount of chlorine and showed different energy efficiency. It would be due to coating materials and their distribution on the electrode surface. |
