제목 Shape memory polyurethane nanocomposites with functionalized graphene sheet
초록 The roles of graphene in the shape memory polyurethane nanocomposites (SMPUNs), as a reinforcing filler, as a fixed structure to memorized original shape, and as a conductive filler to actuate shape recovery by resistive heating, were examined. The effectiveness of these roles were modulated by functionalization of the graphene with hydroxyl group through oxidation with H2O2. The reinforcing effect by graphene and its role as a fixed structure were augmented by the hydroxyl groups due to the increased the grafting of polyurethane chains on graphene during in situ preparation of SMPUNs. However, the oxidation and the grafting reduced the conductivity of SMPUNs, which deteriorated the resistive heating.
