Nanoparticle assembly into a Patterned Template by Controlling the Surface Wettability and the Physical Confinement |

We have introduced an anti-adhesion PDMS thin layer onto a mold’s surface to fabricate a patterned template for immobilizing nanoparticles. Anti-adhesion PDMS material we have utilized has an epoxy-functional group which is induced to a chemical bonding with mold’s surface. Due to this coating method could be easily released a replica from a mold, we could obtain many nanostructures which can be used for a template of assembled nanoparticles. Fabricated nanostructure as a template, we also could immobilize the nanoparticles into the patterned template using an evaporation method. In addition, by controlling the surface wettability and physical confinement, it was confirmed that the assembled nanoparticles into the templates had different properties as evidences of the optical microscopy and SEM images. |
