제목 Adsorption Characteristics of TCA in a Fixed and Fluidized Beds
초록 Separation characteristics of trichloroacetic acid (TCA) from aqueous solution onto a granular activated carbon (GAC), F-400, were studied in a fixed, semi-fluidized and fluidized beds. Adsorption equilibrium capacity of TCA onto GAC increased with decreasing pH and temperature of the solution. The internal diffusion coefficients were determined by comparing the experimental concentration curves with those predicted from the surface diffusion model (SDM) and pore diffusion model (PDM). The linear driving force approximation (LDFA) model was used to simulate isothermal adsorption behavior in a fixed bed. The breakthrough curve of TAC for packed bed is steeper than that for the fluidized bed and the breakthrough curves obtained form semi-fluidized beds lies between those obtained from the packed and fluidized beds. Desorption rate of TCA in a fixed bed was about 95 % using distilled water.
