Push–pull structured (D–π–A) Zn(II)–porphyrin sensitizers, containing various electron donor and acceptor groups, for the enhancement of the light-harvesting ability within the expanded absorption region and efficient prevention of undesirable charge recombination of the sensitizing dyes in dye-sensitized solar cells were newly designed and synthesised through molecular engineering. Furthermore, the influence of the acceptor ability on photovoltaic performances is investigated for establishing the structure–property relationship in the platform of porphyrin various donor and acceptor sensitizers. As a result, we provide molecular design guidelines for dye-sensitized solar cells based on structure-property relationship through tuning of various electron donor and electron acceptor groups. In this presentation, Zn-Porphyrin sensitizers with donor and acceptor structural engineering for highly performance dye-sensitized solar cells will be described. |
