Chemically durable and low-cost Backsheet films for high performance photovoltaic module |
초록 |
Photovoltaic modules are friendly energy conversion devices to generate electricity via photovoltaic effect of semiconductor.One of key elements in PV modules is “Backsheet,” a multilayered film.A Backsheet should exhibit barrier properties to chemicals including water and alcohols.A representative Backsheet materials is composed of PVF and PET. PVF is relatively expensive, while showing excellent resistance to chemical attack. Thus, it is necessary to develop a cheap alternative to PVF which can lower the production cost of Backsheet and satisfy lifetime applicable.In this study, Since PET is suffering from hydrolysis and trans-esterification, it is needed to understand PET decomposition behavior under PV operation conditions.To evaluate their chemical decomposition, accelerated PET decomposition protocol is studied.The decomposition behavior is correlated with physical properties obtained from the real time measurement under PV operation conditions. |
