제목 | The Effect of Silicas in Black/Non-black Filler System on the Properties of Various SBR Compounds |
초록 | Conventional carbon blacks in natural and synthetic rubber industry are being partially replaced by precipitated silica, an amorphous white filler, which has been recently highlighted as an important reinforcing material. Partial replacement has resulted in enhanced performance such as higher wet traction and lower rolling resistance in rubber compounding in spite of its drawbacks like high viscosity, induced by strong filler-filler interaction. In this study, compounds were prepared based on different polymers (SBRs), silicas, and carbon blacks using an internal mixer. The cure behavior and mechanical property of the mixed rubber compounds were measured using a torque rheometer, tensile tester, and dynamic mechanical analyser. The effect of silica portion from silica and carbon black blending on the compound properties of various SBR compounds will be discussed. |
