Sol-gel Transition and Micellization of Multi-arm Star-shaped Block Copolymers |
초록 |
Biodegradable temperature-sensitive copolymers of PEG and polyester such as poly(L-lactide), poly(DL-lactide), poly(ε-caprolactone), and poly (DL-lactide-co-glycolide) were studied as drug delivery systems by many researchers. These polymers have the advantageous properties such as amphiphilicity, self-aggregating properties, temperature-sensitivity, nontoxicity, and biodegradability. Our group developed temperature-sensitive biodegradable multi-arm star-shaped block copolymers having the poly(DL-lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) (PLGA) block and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) to investigate the effect of architecture on the micellization and gelation behavior. We expect them to have other specific properties due to their multi-arm star-shaped architecture. |
