제목 Effects of Gelatin Loaded Chitosan Microsphere with CaP Coating
초록 Gelatin and chitosan are naturally derived biodegradable polymers and have been widely used as a number of biomedical uses. Chitosan, in particular, is frequently utilized in hemostatic bandage, antibacterial agent, and drug carrier. Bone substitutes requires reasonable strength to be used in load bearing applications. Attempts have been made to development of microsphere with improved biofunctionality. In this study, we prepared a chitosan microsphere loaded with gelatin to ensure mechanical strength of the microsphere and coated with cap coating to promote their biocompatibility. The structural characteristics and chemical and biological properties were evaluated using various analytical methods, including SEM, FTIR, and EDS.
