Laminated nano-porous structure based on M13 virus/PDDA |

In recent years, study of nano-scale membrane manufacturing technology using nanomaterials was significantly attracted by many researchers. And the fabrication of micro- or nano-structures has been shifting from top-down to bottom-up process. A self-assembly process is required to fabricate the structure in a bottom-up process. We fabricated nano-scale porous laminated structure utilizing self-assembly property of M13virus. We have confirmed through the fabrication model that at initial rough surface layers condition followed up by porous surface on top, as number of alternative layers were deposited. Also, relation between our proposed fabrication model and experimental laminated structure was verified by optical experiments and 3D-FDTD simulations. Lastly, materialization of selective chloride ion extraction was observed from M13virus/PDDA laminated nano-porous structure when compared with only M13virus structure and confirmed from XPS results. |
